In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

This is the day that the Lord has made

What a day, everything started out pretty normal today. The boys and I got groceries and did some cooking and some cleaning and then went to pick up the girls from school. Then at the supper table everything changed. I could tell there was something on Charlie's mind so I asked her if she needed to talk about something and she proceeded to put her head down and pretended like she had forgotten her concern. So I told her that after supper if she needed to chat we could sit down and talk. As I started cleaning up the dishes she said "mama I don't want to go to hell I want to be saved" immediate tears came to my eyes because I could see the sincerity in her face. We both sat down on the couch and I showed her the verses in the Bible that explain our sin situation and our need for a Saviour the one true Jesus Christ and after that Charlie prayed and told God how sorry she is and asked Him to save her. This is one of best days of my life. I tell you God is so good to burden little Charlie's heart. I praise the Lord for Godly influences in her life like her teacher at school who lives God's love out on a daily basis. Some people might read this and think how can it even be possible that a 5 year old understands but it says right in the Bible that unless we come to Him like a little child we will never be born again. Nobody can make us accept Jesus Christ we have to come to that decision like Charlie did. That's the greatest thing about being a christian just to know that God will always be there to accept us no matter what. We have to be the ones to make a change. So many people today are working on cleaning the outside of their lives but yet neglect to clean the most important part, their heart. I hope this testimony touches your heart, please pray that Charlie will grow as a christian and that she will never be ashamed to stand up for what is right in this world, especially today's world where everyone wants to simply "tolerate" everything and not find fault with anything. We are getting further and further away from the Lord as country and it's time we stand up for what is God's way.
God is good all the time
